What is Adaptations?Adaptations, The Young Adult Life Skills Network offers college educated young adults—people in their 20's and 30's with learning disabilities or those needing support—the benefits of a supportive environment as they work towards achieving their life goals. Fun, educational and social programs are offered to individuals with learning and communication differences. Participants benefit from customized employment services and support, social skills groups, art, drama, fitness and technology programs. Adaptations also offers speeddating, holiday celebrations, day trips, overnight experiences and events with other 20s and 30s groups at the JCC Manhattan. Adaptations offers a wide variety of opportunities, from social activities to ways to improve interpersonal skills, to exploring career options and more. Adaptations is building a community that is designed to enhance the lives of its members. Adaptations programs meet at The Jewish Community Center in Manhattan - 334 Amsterdam Avenue, at 76th Street. Individuals come from all over--the tri-state area as well as New Jersey, Westchester and Long Island. (If a new member from out of NYC needs help with commuting, please let us know and we will help make transportation meet-up arrangements.) Meet. Socialize. Explore. Discover. Learn. Join Adaptations! Adaptations is funded through the generosity of donors to UJA-Federation of New York and is an initiative of The Jewish Community Center in Manhattan. 
Adaptations, The Young Adult Life Skills Network was conceived by a parent of a young adult with disabilities and designed with the staff of UJA-Federation of New York and The Jewish Community Center in Manhattan.
