The sessions have been a wonderful way to share our parenting experiences. Hannah Cohen's insights and suggestions as well as those of the other parents have been invaluable and inspiring. As a group, we have been able to start some new initiatives and feel connected. The Adaptations' programs for our adult children are terrific and attract people from Westchester, Brooklyn and Queens." "The support group means a lot to me. We are a group of accomplished mothers who still struggle with our adult children as they try to attain as much independence and fulfillment as possible. We have all shared our frustrations and successes with each other. It is a continuing process--hopefully moving in the direction toward growth and stability for them. We are there for all the sorrows and joys both with those children and in for most of us, with our other children and grandchildren. Also the challenge is to keep the wonderful and productive other parts of our lives going forward." LecturesIn addition to an ongoing support group, a series of lectures are presented covering topics such as housing options, special needs trust and estate planning, government entitlements, sexuality and employment. ↑ Return to Top ↑ Related InfoPlease check out Resources for more useful information for families. ↑ Return to Top ↑ |
